We built Mova because no one else had.

We tried everything — the popular budgeting apps, the transaction trackers, the bank built-in tools, a spreadsheet that grew increasingly complicated. None of them quite worked, not for the way British people actually manage money.

The well-known options are American. Their calendars run January to December. They have no concept of an ISA, no awareness that your tax year starts in April, no way to think about how your pension, LISA, or Help to Buy savings fit into the picture.

The UK-built alternatives focus on transactions, not the bigger picture. Bank budgeting tools only work if all your money is in one place. None of them connect spending, savings, investments, and pensions into a single view.

So we built Mova. Not an adaptation. Not a localisation with a £ sign swapped in. Built from scratch around how money actually works in Britain.

What Mova will never do

No ads. No referral links to financial products we don't use ourselves. No upselling credit cards or loans. No selling your data. Just honest tools that make your financial life clearer.

What existing apps get wrong

  • January calendarsThe UK tax year runs 6 April to 5 April. No mainstream app reflects this — so your ISA allowance, pension contributions, and annual budgets reset on the wrong date.
  • No ISA or LISA awarenessThe ISA is the most powerful savings vehicle available to British people. Most apps don't know what one is, let alone track your £20,000 allowance or your LISA bonus.
  • American merchant categoriesCategorised for American retail, not Tesco and Sainsbury's. Spending breakdowns that don't map to where you actually shop.
  • No payday-centric viewsYour financial month runs payday to payday, not 1st to 31st. Apps that reset on the calendar date are telling you the wrong story.
  • Spending and wealth completely separateUnderstanding your money means seeing how much you spend and what you've saved — not in two different apps with no connection between them.
  • Built to sell you productsMost free financial apps make money by selling you credit cards, loans, and investment products. Your financial data is the product. Ours isn't.

Mova Spend

Spending that makes sense on a British income.

Most budgeting apps were designed for the US — January resets, dollar-first thinking, no concept of a tax year. Mova Spend is built around how money actually moves in Britain.

Tax year budgets

Set and track spending from 6 April. Because HMRC doesn't run January to December, and neither should your finances.

£

Payday-aware views

Every summary resets around your salary date. Know exactly what you've spent and what's left — this pay cycle, not this calendar month.

Direct debits & subscriptions

Every recurring commitment in one place, with upcoming alerts so nothing lands unexpectedly. Council tax, broadband, gym — all tracked.

UK merchant categories

Categorised for how Britain actually shops — supermarkets, takeaways, transport, utilities — not mapped to American retail chains.

Anomaly alerts

Spot charges that look out of place before they become a problem. Duplicate payments, unexpected price rises, new subscriptions you didn't choose.

Bill calendar

See your month laid out as it actually is — when money comes in, when it goes out, and what you genuinely have available to spend.

You're on the list for Mova Spend.

Mova Wealth

A clear picture of everything you've built.

Your savings, investments, property, and pensions — tracked together in a single net worth view. With the ISA allowances, tax year context, and UK account types that actually apply to you.

ISA & LISA tracking

See exactly how much of your £20,000 ISA allowance and £4,000 LISA allowance you've used — per provider, per tax year, with the 25% bonus factored in.

Pension awareness

Track contributions in the context of your broader picture. Annual allowance, employer matching — in plain terms, not jargon.

Net worth projection

A 5-year forward view based on your current savings rate. See what consistent saving and investing actually adds up to over time.

Tax year summary

A clear year-end view built for self-assessment — contributions made, accounts opened, allowances used. Useful if you file your own return.

Property & liabilities

Your home and your mortgage in one number. See your equity clearly as your outstanding balance falls — without needing a spreadsheet to work it out.

All accounts, grouped

Current, savings, investments, and credit — organised by type, with subtotals. One place to see where everything sits at any moment.

Mova Spend

Bank apps only see one account. Mova Spend works across all your accounts and resets around your actual payday — not the calendar month. You get UK-specific categories, a bill calendar, direct debit tracking, and anomaly alerts in one place. It shows you your financial picture, not just your balance.
Your financial month runs from when your salary lands to just before the next one — not the 1st to the 31st. Mova Spend builds every budget, summary, and remaining-balance figure around your payday, so the numbers actually mean something when you check them mid-month.
We'll share full details on account connectivity at launch. Our priority is making the connection smooth, secure, and genuinely useful — not just technically possible.
Every direct debit, standing order, and subscription — laid out in a calendar so you can see exactly when money leaves and when it arrives. You'll get alerts before anything significant hits, so nothing catches you off guard.

Mova Wealth

Your savings app shows one balance. Mova Wealth shows your total net worth — cash savings, ISAs, pensions, property equity, investments, and liabilities — in a single number, with context. You can see how your ISA allowance is tracking, what your pension contributions look like this tax year, and where you're headed over 5 years.
Yes. You can add your pension balance and contributions to Mova Wealth. We show you how much you've put in this tax year, alongside your other savings — so your pension isn't invisible from the rest of your picture. We keep it in plain terms, no jargon.
You can track your Cash ISA, Stocks & Shares ISA, and Lifetime ISA (LISA) — per provider, per tax year. Mova shows you how much of your £20,000 annual allowance you've used and how much remains, including the LISA's £4,000 sub-limit and 25% government bonus. Everything resets on 6 April as it should.
Absolutely — that's the idea. Mova Spend tells you what's happening with your money now. Mova Wealth shows you what you've built over time. Together they give you the full picture: what you spend, what you save, and where you're heading.

We love hearing from you.
